2003
TOUR IS ON
WE
have a tour.
2003
was supposed to be a fallow year for the Cavs touring party
but the lure of a weekend away playing cricket and drinking
muckies has proved too much.
This
year the destination is... wait for it... Kingston... in
Surrey as opposed to Jamaica.
The
tour is scheduled to take place over the August Bank Holiday
weekend.
The
plan is to play Walton-on-Thames on Sunday August 24 and
Magdalen CC the day after in Thames Ditton, on a pitch overlooking
Hampton Court.
Overnight
accomodation has been booked at a B&B in Addlestone
courtesy of G Lloyd and there'll be a night out in Surrey
somewhere on the Sunday.
Lager
told the website: "We are staying in the Crouch Hotel
in Addlestone which is a few miles from Walton on Thames.
We have 4 twin rooms booked at a cost of £49.50 per
room and one quad room (with 4 singles) for £95 per
room.
"I've done a deal that we will have breakfast (they
don't usually) for £6.50
each for the full english and tea and coffee. As we have
taken up the whole hotel I will set a time with them for
a mass Cavs brekkie sitting. Prob 10.30 or 11am.
"So the damage per Cav is £31.50 for B&B.
I know we will have a little change which can go in the
pot for muckys. We have 12 beds booked so we have room for
a guest. If there is going to be any less I just have to
give them 24hrs notice."
More details will be available nearer the time.
