Cav's up 4 new season

It's almost upon us, ladies and gents.

That's right, the new cricket season is just a fortnight away, with the 2003 season promising more than ever before for the Cavalier.

First of all, the club has its best selection of fixtures ever. A choice game against Radlett opens the season, closely followed by a plum game against the HAC. There's all the usual suspects, as well though, to look forward to - the Bush, Harpenden, Gayton and the Poncers.

Then there's the squad. The team has shown a year on year improvement and this year should prove to be our strongest yet with a few years experience under our belt and some tidy little players to call on in times of trouble. It's also going to be the year of the Lowers.

On a more serious note, there will be a subscription fee for all players for the 2003 season to cover pitches, the running of this site, kit etc. The club now also has a Treasurer, Tim Firmin. It's planned to ask players for a £30 donation.

Let's av it.
