The Harpenden Cavaliers collective of Ellis Thorpe, Gareth Lloyd, Jamie Wise and Jim Handford were last week sensationally barred from travelling to the Euro 2004 Football Championships. Following ugly events at the Valley where the aforementioned youths formed an advanced Luton-front, they have been ordered to surrender their passports.

Ellis and Jim combined in a statement : "We are gutted that a night of madness at Charlton FC may put a halt on our adventure to Portugal. We were simply supporting our beloved Luton FC, the police got involved, but now it seem we've been branded as hooligans. This was to be our first trip abroad without the parents. It looks like we'll have to watch all the games down Billy's now."
